Donna Marie Bio

Friends, I believe, are special privileges we have been blessed with… by the Grace of God.  They are meant to be loved and looked after as though they were as much a part of us as we are of ourselves.….  “Dear friends, let us love one another for love comes from God” 1 John 4:7

Donna Marie is a vivacious, loving, caring individual who has a gift for making people smile.  The flip side of that is that when she sings, she’s graced with the ability to make them cry as well.  These are what I call Holy Spirit tears.  The music is always anointed when God is the author…We are the willing clay…the vessels He uses to further the kingdom.

It is plain to see that the union of friendship that God ordained for Donna Marie and Karen G had been masterfully orchestrated… in the way that they met, and in the way that He allowed them to work together for His Glory.  What originated as a “bonding” of two women in friendship, turned into a blessing of two women working together to achieve one result…to draw people to a closer relationship with the Lord….to be the means in which the Lords music would reach all those individuals preordained to be touched by it.  All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them ever came to be…Psalm 139:16

Donna Marie was a talented vocalist in the past as well.  As a former member of the Archies’ Group, she performed in many musical engagements with many famous and influential individuals.  She did benefit performances, as well as major studio work for Columbia Records.  She did incredible vocals on “first takes” and had the ability to go much further in the business, and most agree… undoubtedly would have. At that time, Donna Marie made a choice and a sacrifice that would impact her future. The thing was, that her priority was family, and leaving family to pursue a career…no matter how enticing, was not what she was all about.  No, Donna Marie would raise her family, stay home with her three children, and make sure that she was up in the middle of the night to send her husband George off to work, with freshly baked cookies to take on the road with him….the road he would be on hundreds of miles each day.

The Lord would wait…all things in His time…until she would find Him, and be willing to use her voice for Him….then….He would bless her patience, and her willingness to put her family first. He would give her a friend that would uplift her and cause her to want to sing again….A friend who wouldn’t take no for an answer, so Donna Marie said yes.  May the Lord show kindness to you as you have shown… to me…Ruth 1:8  He would give them reasons to work together, so that their abilities would connect.  There would be joy, and a peace in knowing that this was the walk the Lord planned all along.   To one ….His Music and Mission….To the other…..the grace to sing His music so that all those who listen will be touched by the power of His spirit.  To connect both as one is to bring together a powerful combination of spirit filled ministry….and Love……Amen

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: if one falls down, his friend can help him up! Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
