"God
Bless America" - LYRICS Words
and Music written by Karen Ann Giammarino & Sharon
Taylor
From
where I sit I see flag. It stands for liberty,
in
a country that’s divided, from sea to shining sea.
I
don’t know just what went wrong. What’s happening
today?
‘Our
nation’s founding wisdom is fading away.
How
could we all be so blind, believing we’ll remain
protected
by the God we serve, if we forsake His name?
Pledge
allegiance to the flag, one God above us all.
To
think that we don’t need Him now…that’s the pride before
the fall.
God
Bless America. Let the children pray.
Please
don’t take Him out of all we do and say.
God
Bless America, so we will always be-
a
place where heroes come to dwell among the free,
for
all the world to see.
You
give your sons, who bear your name, your daughters by
their side.
You
send them to a foreign land with dignity and pride.
What
will they tell their children when they come home one
day?
To
find that God is not allowed –to be there when they
say…..
God
Bless America. Let the children pray.
Please
don’t take Him out of all we do and say.
God
Bless America, so we will always be-
a
place where heroes come to dwell among the free,
for
all the world to see.
One
nation under God we pledge hands over hearts.
United
we are strong.
It’s
by the grace of that same God, we are free to believe
The
Spirit in our country lives on….
God
Bless America. Let the children pray.
If
we don’t take Him out of all we do and say.
He’ll
Bless America, so we will always be-
a
place where heroes come to dwell among the free,
for
all the world to see
