About "Hear Me Lord"...

Sometimes when you’re a little child, you have the blessing of sitting on your fathers lap.  Maybe you were there just because you wanted to be close to him, or maybe he was comforting a long forgotten hurt.  The only thing that mattered was that there…. you were safe.  Your hopes and dreams were given a reason to live.

So it is with the Lord.  There are times when I just want to crawl into His lap because nothing else would seem as comforting.  I want Him to hear every word…every prayer…every dream….and then tell me that everything is going to be all right.  I want to know Him more…to thank Him for saving me from what I might have been…and then…with His grace… to be everything He’s created me to be.

These are the things that inspired me to write “Hear Me Lord.”  It is more than a song.  It is a prayer….deep, and heartfelt…childlike…innocent…and most of all…filled with love….  It brings me back to a place I have hidden in my heart for an eternity…a place I know that one day…will be there  waiting for me.

I pray that as you listen, you are brought to Calvary’s Cross…where you can leave all of your cares, and find a Father who loves you enough to pick them up.
